Golden latte, or golden milk, has been gaining more popularity in the past year. The health drink can now be found in most restaurants that serve healthy food; it has even made its way into some of your city’s cafés as well.
The drink isn’t a new invention – it’s said to be a common Ayurvedic treatment called haldi doodh used for sore throat and stomachaches. Research has also found that it contains anti-oxidant and anti-inflammatory properties, which reduces signs of ageing as well as preventing certain diseases.
And the good news is that you can definitely mix it with protein to make a shake! Here’s how you do it:
You’ll need a banana; a cup of milk; a teaspoon of cashew nut butter; half an avocado; a teaspoon of cinnamon, turmeric, protein powder, and Omega 3 seed oil; black pepper to taste.
Just mix all the ingredients into a blender and blend it for 30 seconds. It’s that easy!
